About LaShawn

I am a mom.  That is how I see myself in daily life.  My days are filled with my kids…cooking, cleaning, homeschooling, and bedtimes.  How I became a photographer in the midst of that glamorous, yet totally satisfying, life is still a mystery to me.  I started off as just a mom with a camera.  I wanted to learn to take better pictures of my boys, so I set about collecting photography books and talking to other photographers.  I studied what makes a good photograph and learned my camera.  And I was hooked.

Then my friends started asking me to take photographs for them…and LaShawn Williams Photography was born.  I love all aspects of this job.  However, my favorite part is meeting new people  and archiving a snippet of time for them.

Other than photography I love the color pink, chick flicks, reading and my beloved iPhone.  How did I go about my daily life before the iPhone came into my life?  One of life’s mysteries.
